1. The API Service

The Document Anonymization API detects and removes personally identifiable information (PII) from documents. By using this API, you agree to these terms.

2. API Keys & Access

  • You must register for an API key to use the service
  • API keys are personal and non-transferable
  • You are responsible for securing your API key — treat it like a password
  • We may revoke keys that are abused or shared
  • Do not embed API keys in client-side code or public repositories

3. Plans & Pricing

  • Starter ($9): 100 requests
  • Professional ($29): 500 requests
  • Business ($79): 2,000 requests
  • Enterprise ($199): 10,000 requests
  • All prices in USD, one-time purchase per request pack
  • Payments processed through Paddle (Merchant of Record)
  • Overage requests are rejected (not billed extra) — purchase a new pack if you need more

4. Document Processing

  • Documents are processed in memory and never stored
  • The API performs best-effort PII detection — accuracy depends on document format, language, and content
  • We do not guarantee 100% PII removal — always review results for sensitive documents
  • You are responsible for verifying anonymization output before using or sharing documents

5. Rate Limits & Fair Use

  • Each pack has a request limit
  • Rate limiting is enforced per API key
  • Requests exceeding your plan limit return HTTP 429
  • Do not attempt to circumvent rate limits with multiple keys

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the API for illegal purposes
  • Send malicious payloads or attempt to exploit the service
  • Use the API to re-identify previously anonymized individuals
  • Exceed rate limits through automated circumvention
  • Resell API access without written permission

7. Compliance

The API is designed to help with GDPR, KVKK, and similar privacy compliance. However, using this API does not automatically make you compliant with any regulation. You are responsible for your own compliance obligations.

8. SLA & Uptime

  • We target 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee it
  • Scheduled maintenance will be announced 48 hours in advance
  • Enterprise plans may negotiate custom SLAs

9. Disclaimers

The API is provided "as is." We do not guarantee that all PII will be detected or removed. You are responsible for reviewing anonymization results. The API does not constitute legal advice or compliance certification.

10. Limitation of Liability

Our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid in the 12 months preceding any claim. We are not liable for data breaches caused by incomplete anonymization, downstream use of API results, or any indirect or consequential damages.

11. Cancellation

  • Cancel anytime — access continues until end of billing period
  • Your API key is deactivated after your plan expires
  • Account data is retained for 30 days after cancellation, then permanently deleted

12. Changes

API terms may be updated. Breaking changes will be announced at least 30 days in advance via the API changelog and email.
